Khoan: Tùy thuộc vào công suất của từng loại máy mà bạn có thể khoan trên những chất liệu khác nhau: gỗ, nhựa, mica, thủy tinh, kim loại

Cắt: đây là bộ khoan đa năng. Do đó, khi thay thế đầu mũi khoa bằng lưỡi cắt thì bạn có thể dùng để cắt nhiều vật liệu, tuy vậy thì nó chỉ phù hợp để cắt những vật đơn giản. Tuy nhiên, có một số máy có thể cắt những vật liệu to và cứng hơn.

Mài: Mũi khoan có thể thay thế bằng mũi mài hoặc đá mài là nó có thể giúp bạn thực hiện được những động tác gia công này.
